There are a lot of reasons to visit the Val D’Isere ski resort located in the Auvergne-Rhônes-Alpes region of Southeastern France. It is one of the largest ski resorts in Europe, with very reliable snowfall, and an incredible variety of different runs. It is also one of the few resorts in the region that is located right at the base of the mountain, meaning you don’t have to deal with complicated shuttles to and from the slopes each day. Sounds pretty ideal, doesn’t it? Well, things just got a bit better with the new Airelles Mademoiselle hotel, set to open December 2019.
This new 5-star hotel invites guests to travel with them back in time, taking inspiration from Medieval architecture, while still providing all of the modern conveniences you could desire. The decor takes its inspiration from the roots of the town, which dates back to the Middle Ages. This wood and stone chateau boasts forty-one rooms, including eleven elegant suites and five private apartments that come equipped with personal butlers. All rooms will also come with their own private balcony or terrace with your choice of a mountain or village view. Located at 6,000 feet in the very heart of Val d’Isere in the Place de Neige, the hotel will offer ski-in-ski-out access to give you the ultimate ski experience.
In addition to the rustic surroundings and convenient location, the hotel will have a 13,000 square foot Guerlin spa available to guests. The spa will include a massive swimming pool, a natural juice bar, a sauna and jacuzzi, two sensory showers, and a fitness center with a coach. There will also be a variety of different dining options within the estate, including Terasse, a lunch spot with views of the mountain, and Le Carnotzet which will serve up traditional Savoyard cuisine. The Bar and Fumoir will provide all day access to cigars, wine, and champagne.
While we hardly needed any more encouragement to dive into the beauty and excitement of a ski vacation in Val d’Isere, we’re not upset about having a new luxurious palace from which to experience it.
