Spring in Amsterdam is when you can see Holland’s most famous exported goods bloom – Tulips. Even though you can find them around the city, a trip to the Flower Strip (or Bollenstreek) is a must. The Bollenstreek is home to the world-famous Dutch tulip fields.  Just west and southwest of Amsterdam are fields of colorful flowers in all varieties, including tulips. The best time to visit the Bollenstreek is from mid-March to mid-May. In late March, more than 7 million bulbs in over 80 colorful acres bloom in the Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse, considered one of the most beautiful spring gardens of the world! In mid-April, the Tulip Festival takes over Amsterdam and the famous flower parade embarks on its 40km route to Haarlem. The Conservatorium Hotel, one of the leading luxury hotels in the Netherlands has on display, its own variety of tulips that were grown on the estate in celebration of the annual Tulip Festival.

Explore these incredible blooms from one of the many luxury properties in Amsterdam. Consider the history-filled boutique hotel, Seven One Seven; or seek out more classic vibes at the Waldorf Astoria. Check out another favorite, the Hotel Pulitzer. This intimate hotel offers modern Dutch elegance along the canals, and a quaint garden cafe where guests can recharge and enjoy breakfast.
